Ithric Lux

Ithric Lux

A Damascus Tech High-priest with a religious respect for functioning systems (life or technological)

  • Aspect 1 - Codex 1:1 - Be confident in life: “The gift of functional body and a free mind cannot be brought to question. It just is.” - Ithric has a certain confidence that comes through his faith in life. He has a hard time being anything but positive even against intimidation. However when confronted with needless destruction he can become overwhelmed and easily terrified.
  • Aspect 2 - Codex 4:1 - Preservation over self-defence: “To kill is to not only end who someone is but also every possibility of who they may become. It is naive to say that there are times when ending life is not just. Let it never be easy.” - Ithric has received training at stopping people without killing them but doing so reduces the lethality of his pistol attacks.
  • Aspect 3 - Choke hold: Confronting hand to hand combat Ithric finds it hard not to be overpowered by but given an advantageous situation he can initiate a Choke hold with his thick tail.

Personal History

Ithric Lux is religious but hardly zealous, his first calling had him helping to unite settlements with his closely banded group of cultural visionaries. The original band of twelve traded things with villages and helped bring the world together and eventually the group grew to requiring institutions. Ithric was in charge of technological institutions and found ways to improve the life of the populous. For a time he worked closely with his brother and sister who worked Medicine and Horticulture respectively, finding ways to increase distribution and effectiveness through autonomous drones. The time wasn’t all peaceful but the closeness was something he came to miss after the world began to industrialize and the less cultural traits of the universe started to leak into the world one trade or pirate vessel at a time.

Eventually the religious order fell apart, leaders went onto brighter pastures and others were betrayed. Ithric’s brother was assassinated by a pharmaceutical competitor which dragged his sister into civil rights campaigning, quickly securing herself a humble seat in the underworld. A strong traditionalism remains through the people in the city he helped build, doing fine without him he left the university behind for a position at Damascus where he went back to doing what he could for the universe through his robotic talents.
