Aspects:

  • Chameleon: By manipulating the chromatophores in his skin, Shar is able to actively camoflague himself by emulating the pigmentation of his surroundings, even while moving. While he has to limit himself while on dry land, in the water his experience allows him to swim at full speed while cloaked. However, no matter where he is, emotions can often override the complex patterns and leave him utterly exposed, which makes keeping a level head a vital part of survival.
  • Poker Face: Ilth don't usually do facial expressions, preferring to let people know how they feel through their skin patterns. This makes him particularly hard to read, especially if he supresses this instinct. However, this makes him rather…disconcerting to other species, making diplomacy and persuasion somewhat more difficult for him, as well as simply relating to others.
  • Amphibious: Born from the oceans of Illathia, Shar is much more at home when he's underwater, where his senses are heavily enhanced, as well as his overall agility and natural abilities. If he goes too long without at least a bath or a dip in a pool, however, he starts to get a bit stir crazy, hampering his state of mind until he finds a way to regain equilibrium.(2 Points Spent for +6 Bonus When Tapped)

Personal History

Born to the Shark caste, Shar'cull grew up as most Ilth do, although with a subtle distinction: he didn't like taking advantage of others. While his peers backstabbed their way to the top of the class, Shar'cull made up the difference by training harder and more intensely than anyone he knew, knowing it was the only way he'd survive the brutal selection processes that faced his caste. He thought that being the best meant being able to be honest, so when the conniving machinations of his rivals not only nearly got him killed, but proved themselves in the eyes of their instructors, something changed. He couldn't count on being a good person, not in a caste of assassins and spies all doing their best to crush their competition with the dirtiest tactics possible. So, when he had finally graduated, he did so with the blood of his rivals on his hands, finding the truth behind the memory of his progenitor through his own actions. Taking the name of Shar'cull, he would leave his world, and find himself on the recieving end of lucrative contracts that would lead him, one day, to a job unlike any other.

Miscellaneous

The name Shar'Cull refers first to his caste's progenitor, Shark, while the second refers to one of his many triumphs, specifically the Culling of Ganymede 7.
